No Rice Either

As I have previously discussed, the Global Warming Hoax and "Biofuel" craze has driven up the price of corn so significantly that tortillas in Mexico have doubled in price. Now we have evidence that the rice fields of East Asia produce an appalling amount of methane, a significant greenhouse gas. Given the dire predictions of the Warmers, we have one or two billion poor who are just going to have to live without rice, their main staple. Sorry, guys but this climate change is very serious, tough it out without rice.

"In fact, the report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change meeting this week in Bangkok concludes that rice production was a main cause of rising methane emissions in the 20th century. It calls for better controls.
"There is no other crop that is emitting such a large amount of greenhouse gases," said Reiner Wassmann, a climate change specialist at the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines."
